General Manager - Thousand Fell

ABOUT THE ROLE:

THOUSAND FELL is excited to expand its executive leadership team with a General Manager who will operate and scale a high growth retail business. This new position requires a strategic and results oriented leader to craft strategies for all internal and external teams, with a strong background growing and managing retail businesses.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver and results-oriented operator passionate about building the next cult retail brand and setting the course for the future of circularity. In this leadership role, you’ll have wide-ranging ownership of core business functions aimed at driving business growth, with a special focus on building cross-functional teams, overseeing brand reach, and managing comprehensive P&L responsibilities. We have big
ambitions for the Thousand Fell business and are looking for a strong leader to set strategy and vision to achieve the
goals. You’ll thrive in this role if you are a driven, self-motivated, team player who is ready to dive in, build and nurture
early teams, and execute with excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL BE TASKED TO DO:

●  Establish a highly motivated work environment and create innovative approaches for improvement

●  Spearhead innovative strategic thinking & develop strategic plans for optimized productivity;

●  Manage company resources productively & profitably grow the Thousand Fell business across eComm and wholesale with full P&L responsibility;

●  Oversee day-to-day operations from product development to marketing to sales.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:

●  Oversee day-to-day operations across all areas of the business including: design, product development,
merchandising, marketing, and inventory management;

●  Assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals;

●  Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives;

●  Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time;

●  Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans; and

●  Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

●  Proven experience in a managerial role

●  Strong decision-making capabilities and conviction backed by experience

●  Strong communication, collaboration, and delegation skills

●  Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans

●  Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable

●  Strong working knowledge of retail operations

●  Bonus points if you bring experience in merchandising, product development, inventory management

PREREQS

●  12+ years relevant experience in retail and brand management across marketing, product development,
sales, and biz ops.

●  Ability to lead, develop, and grow happy teams. At least 5+ years of team management experience across
cross functional retail teams.

●  Experience managing product-to-market calendars and overseeing cross functional teams through seasonal
and monthly product launches

●  Previous direct ownership of P&L responsibilities for full product categories, departments, or brands.

●  Experience working in apparel industry via DTC and wholesale models.

●  Experience setting company level KPIs and executing against them with precision and excellence.

●  Analytical, highly organized with acute attention to detail.

●  Must have a “no task is too small” mentality and the ability to thrive within a very fast-paced startup
environment, balance competing priorities, and create structure and processes.

●  You’re a self-starter who can take the initiative and run with it. You bring a positive attitude to your work and
authentic enthusiasm to your team.

HEAD OF OPERATIONS & CIRCULAR LOGISTICS

ABOUT THE ROLE:
THOUSAND FELL and SUPERCIRCLE are excited to expand its leadership team with the Head of Operations &
Circularity Logistics. This new position requires a strategic leader to oversee end-to-end operations within our
business’ reverse logistics supply chain and lead all strategies for both internal and external operations and logistics teams, including shipping, collections, warehousing, recycling and waste management partners. This position will be the key leader for the day-to-day operations team, reporting directly into executive management.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver and results-oriented operator, passionate about building next generation supply chain solutions and unlocking the future of the circular economy for retail. In this leadership role, you’ll have wide-ranging ownership of all operations and supply chain strategies aimed at driving business growth,
with a special focus on reverse logistics and sustainable supply chains. We have big ambitions for our Operations and Logistics team – as well as our US based reverse logistics supply chain – and are looking for a strong leader who
will set the vision to achieve our goals. You’ll thrive in this role if you are a driven, self-motivated, team player who is ready to dive in, build from the ground up, and execute with excellence.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:
● Optimize and manage the reverse logistics platform for product recapture, recycling, and material
reintegration, as well as, brand supply chain operations;
● Maintain and nurture external relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, vendors, carriers, etc., and work closely with these third party vendors to consistently meet deadlines as cost-effectively as possible;
● Build a deep network across the global recycling infrastructure, including the sourcing and onboarding of new textile recycling partners;
● Work with leadership to develop the company’s short- and long-term goals, and plan logistics strategically to enable the company to achieve those goals;
● Set and drive operational KPIs for productivity, speed, and accuracy (among other metrics), analyzing data collected over time, and implementing process improvements wherever possible;
● Help to lead the design, build, test, and launch — as well as the ongoing management — of our new internal
warehouse processes
● Automate and simplify key operations overtime – including integrating with 3PL WMS systems and working with internal tech team to build and overlay our proprietary reverse logistics management technology
● Develop operational budgets — including facilities, labor, supplies, and freight — to keep the logistics
network on-budget, as well as, continuously optimize operations to find effective ways to both reduce spend and enhance the customer experience.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
● Proven experience in a managerial role;
● Deep network in logistics and operations
● The ability to build and motivate teams, staff up, and create cross-industry relationships and connections
● Strong communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
● Strong working knowledge and excitement for reverse logistics systems and the opportunities to build out critical infrastructure in the US & Canada today
● Bonus points if you understand textile recycling, returns and take back (QA), and resale or rental markets

PREREQS
● 8+ years relevant experience in global operations, logistics, distribution, and partnership account
management.
● Ability to lead, develop, and grow happy teams. At least 3+ years of team management experience across
logistics, retailer, and shipping teams.
● Experience managing inventory, purchasing, freight, warehousing, distributor and retailer partnerships, as well as cash flow and inventory forecasting.
● Experience working in apparel industry via DTC and wholesale models.
● Experience with managing cost performance and improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management systems and processes.
● Analytical, highly organized with acute attention to detail.
● Must have a “no task is too small” mentality and the ability to thrive within a fast-paced startup environment, balance competing priorities, and create structure and processes.
