Materials
Recycled Bottles

Turned into leather-like uppers, mesh liners + next generation laces.

We’ve worked across our supply chain with recycled plastics - that can then be used again. Our bio-leather is made from recycled plastic bottles and is coated with a bio based resin made from corn waste.

Sugar Cane

Increases flexibility and enhances comfort. How sweet it is!

We use locally sourced sugar cane fibers from food waste in Brazil to replace many of the plastic component parts commonly found in footwear.

Castor Bean

Adds breathability & cushioned comfort for a more secure fit.

We worked with a sustainable mattress company to develop a breathable castor bean oil based foam for footwear.

Aloe Vera

Creates a soft-touch feel. Antimicrobial (go sockless!)

We’ve coated our soft touch mesh sock liner with aloe vera - a natural and sustainable way to combat bacteria and keep your sneakers fresh!

Coconut Husk

A renewable source of stability and support.

We use locally sourced coconut husk fibers from food waste in Brazil to replace many of the plastic component parts commonly found in footwear.

Palm Leaf Fibers

A solid foundation, with less water consumption or chemicals.

We use locally sourced palm leaf fibers from food waste in Brazil to replace many of the plastic component parts commonly found in footwear.

Natural & Recycled Rubber

Pure, plant-based, and sustainable. Stronger &  more elastic than synthetics.

We worked closely with a net zero emissions natural rubber supplier to develop a clean and abrasion resistant outsole. For our insole we have partnered with a recycled rubber supplier to have you standing on a yoga mat.

Quartz

For a water-resistant & oops-proof upper. Stains don’t stick!

Durability is the first step to sustainability. We’ve coated our shoes with a natural quartz barrier to make them stain and water resistant. Keep your white shoes white longer!

WHO?

Who is Thousand Fell?

We are a young team in New York City dedicated to championing the circular economy. We believe in a brighter future and are excited to join you in building it.

FIT & SIZING

How do Thousand Fell sneakers fit?

True to size! We have worked tirelessly to fit test the Thousand Fell size model and believe an 8 is a true 8. That said, if you are a half size, we recommend sizing down!

MADE IN?

Where are Thousand Fell sneakers made?

Thousand Fell are made in a family owned factory in Brazil. We have sourced as many local ingredients as possible including the food waste component parts.

NO LANDFILL

Our Commitment to No Landfill:

Let’s Close the Loop

Every pair of Thousand Fell is backed by our commitment to building a better future and is always ready to recycle. When you’re done with yours, we’ll be here to take them back and keep them out of a landfill, whether by refurbishing them and donating them to someone in need or by ensuring that their raw materials are reused.

Here’s How It Works

  • You return your Thousand Fell sneakers to us at no charge, using a prepaid shipping label.
  • If condition allows, we’ll refurbish your shoes and give them to someone in need through our partnership with Soles4Soles.
  • Otherwise, we’ll break them down into their component parts to make recycled raw materials: these are then converted back into usable materials and reintroduced into our supply chain. Any materials we can’t use will be donated to our partners for upcycling.
  • Once your returned shoes are received, we’ll send you a Material Credit that can be applied to your next Thousand Fell order.
