FASHION HAS A WASTE PROBLEM, LET'S FIX IT.
Rubber, plastics & leather weren't meant to break down in your local communities.
There are over 2.4 billion pairs of shoes sold in the US every year & 97% end up in landfill – over 300 million end up there within a year.
RECYCLE YOUR THOUSAND FELL, JOIN THE MOVEMENT
READY TO DIVE IN?
1. You return your Thousand Fell to us at no charge, using a prepaid UPS shipping label. Don’t worry, we’re working with our logistics team to keep the carbon output low.
2. Once your shoes are scanned in for a return, we’ll send you $20 of recycling cash that can be applied to your next Thousand Fell order.
3. We’ll collect, catalogue and trace your worn sneakers with our partner TerraCycle. Your sneakers will then be broken down into their component parts here in the US to make recycled raw materials.
4. We turn your old shoes back into new shoes! The rubber and rPET are reintroduced into our supply chain and turned back into new Thousand Fell. Food waste component parts are industrially composted and our biopolyol foam is donated and incorporated into construction projects.
